Road Construction in the Honde Valley

Road Construction in the Honde Valley

  • Extending the existing DDF Buwu road by some 7km to previously inaccessible areas in the Kashiri area. These roads now facilitate market access by the local farmers permitting increased agricultural production. Further new road construction and a bridge over the Nyamombe river has enabled vehicles access to the Nyanga National Park south boundary at the Pungwe River, allowing the authorities and the public access to previously inaccessible areas.
  • Extension of the Mananure Irrigation Scheme access road, upwards to Mutasa and downwards to the Valley floor (some 15km) provided an alternative access route in and out of the Honde Valley.
  • Access roads from Makwasa School to Ngarura river.
  • Access Road to Headman Zindi’s area – previously inaccessible.
  • Access Road to previously inaccessible south east corner of Nyanga National Parks.
